If a person repents over something in their life what do you believe God would have them do with that? Don’t you believe He would have them bring that message to those around them who may be struggling with the things they used to struggle with?

Once we repent we are recruited to bring the message of repentance. If you are serving God in any capacity the underlying message of your service is, repent. There is no other message. Repent means, get right with God. The good news is that men can now get right with God – thanks to Jesus.

If you are a greeter in the church – hopefully your attitude is that of wanting to make the house of God a pleasant experience so that those who come will have a better attitude about the things of God and ultimately repent. The same could be said of those who clean the church, teach Sunday School, or do nursery work. It does not matter what we do for the Lord – we all do it with one message in mind, we are helping people repent and get right with God.

Please keep in mind that one of the things I am trying to accomplish as your pastor is to get you to understand that you can serve God wherever you are. You don’t have to be actively working in this building before you would be considered a part of God’s great army. God has many soldiers in the work place. That in fact can become your ministry if indeed you see yourself as doing everything you do with the ulterior motive of causing others to see their need of a savior.
