Prayer House News!
Well I went to my first Christmas banquet of the season. Last night we had a great time with our staff and elders.
Please Note: There will be no SNS meetings until December 18th.
I hope to see all of you this Sunday. We are going to have a great time worshipping the Lord together.

Entering In
This is a matter of apprehension and appreciation. We must grasp and apprehend the innermost desire and longings of the Lord. We must have an appreciation of Him, of His will, His mind, and His purpose. It does seem that some people have a fuller apprehension and appreciation than others. Maybe it’s because at one point in their lives they went a little further into the will of God.
Jesus was constantly suffering because of the lack of apprehension and appreciation. Time and time again He gave expression to some feeling or some inner knowledge that they were not grasping and getting a hold of. Jesus would often say, “I have many things to say to you, but you cannot understand them yet.” All along they failed to apprehend the inner spirit of Christ. They were grasping the outer things and missing the heart of God and His feelings.
The small company was with Christ in Gethsemane, the larger company was in the outer courts of the garden and the larger company yet was somewhere in their homes oblivious of what was going on spiritually and yet, the small company was there on behalf of the much larger company.
God is looking for that small company of believers which can go all the way with Him. That’s the group that has the closet fellowship, that’s the group that shares most in his sufferings, in His passion, and purpose.
There are relatively few who can go there. He took with Him, Peter, James, and John, and then He himself went a little further. So do you see the ranges? It speaks of how far you will go according to the price you will pay. The one who only seeks to be served determines how much he will pay.
The doulos, the servant, does not determine the price he will pay – his superior does that for him. Where are you? Where do you want to be? Do you want to be the one whom Jesus loved? Do you want to be one of the three that entered partially into the garden? Do you want to be the eight that stayed on the fringes of the garden? Do you want to be one of the 120 in the upper room? Or are you one of the 380, that claimed to be believers yet had no idea of what was going on spiritually? Where are you, and where do you want to be?
We have before us one of the great privileges – we can go further than we are with Christ. Do you see the opportunity here?

Gators!
While sports fishing off the Florida coast, a tourist
capsized his boat. He could swim, but his fear of alligators
kept him clinging to the overturned craft. Spotting an old
beachcomber standing on the shore, the tourist shouted, "Are
there any gators around here?"
"Naw," the man hollered back, "they ain't been around for
years!"
Feeling safe, the tourist started swimming leisurely toward
the shore. When he was almost there, he asked the guy,
"How'd you get rid of the gators?"
"We didn't do nothin'," the beachcomber said. "The sharks
got 'em."
